BIKE TRAVEL Ardennes Special 2023

FIETSTRAVEL challenges you to a fantastic adventure by bike from the Netherlands to the Belgian Ardennes and back again! A big tour for the real men and women with "Panache" in their legs.
You can choose from 2 different versions with starting points in Eindhoven or Maastricht. You will arrive simultaneously at our destination in the middle of the beautiful Belgian Ardennes.

Full of bravura we ride from Eindhoven (departure at cycling cafe Cyklist) or from Maastricht (start at Fixed Gear Coffee) via the Belgian roads to the Ardennes. The tours are fully supported with a support car and guidance.

"Ardennes Special: Two Versions, One Great Adventure!"

Version 1: Eindhoven - La Roche - Eindhoven

We are going for 500km and 5000hm in 3 days!

Day 1: Departure from the Cyklist in Eindhoven with your luggage for 2 days in the follow car.
We have planned a lunch stop after about 100km at the famous Mur of Huy. In the evening a dinner awaits us upon arrival in La Roche.

Day 2: On Saturday we will ride a very nice and challenging lap in the Belgian Ardennes, around Durbuy, La Roche and we will ride all the famous hills like the Redoute, col de Haussire etc.
Care on the way from our car and in the evening a cozy gathering with good food and tall stories

Day 3: On Sunday, after a hearty breakfast, we will ride back to the Netherlands, but not without taking in those last beautiful climbs in the Ardennes. The route goes east around Liege, a stop at the famous La Redoute on the way and via Maastricht (lunch stop) we continue our way back to the Cyklist.

Arrived in Eindhoven, a warm welcome awaits us there with the not-to-be-missed beer and bitterballen 😉 .

Version 2: Maastricht - La Roche - Maastricht

We will go for 350km and 4300hm in 3 days!

Day 1: We will gather at Cyklist in Eindhoven so you can take the train to Maastricht from here. Our car with bikes and luggage will then pick you up at Fixed Gear Coffee in Maastricht.
Your luggage for 2 days will go with you in the follow car. Departure bike tour from Fixed Gear.
We have planned an intermediate stop after about 60km at the famous Mur of Huy.
In the evening, dinner awaits us upon arrival in La Roche.

Day 2: On Saturday we will ride a very nice and challenging lap in the Belgian Ardennes, around Durbuy, La Roche and we will ride all the famous hills like the Redoute, col de Haussire etc.
Care on the way from our car and in the evening a pleasant gathering with good food and tall stories.

Day 3: On Sunday, after a hearty breakfast, we will ride back to the Netherlands, but not without taking in those last beautiful climbs in the Ardennes. The route goes east around Liege and through Maastricht (lunch stop) where we climb the famous La Redoute, among other things.
After arriving in Maastricht we can change at Fixed Gear and from here we can take the train and car back to Eindhoven.

-Tourist tax €2.55 p.p.p.n. to be paid locally
-Travel and cancellation insurance
-Renting of road bike (price on request)
-Medical examination consultation; request through Ancora Health and may be reimbursed through your insurance.
-Drinks & snacks during lunches and dinners.

Additional services to book;
-Sports massagefrom €59.95; schedule a well-deserved sports massage during the week. Recover better from your efforts.
-Sports nutrition package;a package tailored to your daily consumption including recovery. More info to follow.
-Bicycle clothing laundry service; after cycling hang your clothes in accompanying laundry bag at the reception. We make sure your laundry comes back quickly and nice and clean the next morning at breakfast.
-Single room surcharge; if you choose a single room there is a total surcharge of €150 (choose option)

Rob van de Brand

Rob is a current Worldtour mechanic with EF Education and Lotto-Soudal, among others. Rob is still in the middle of professional cycling and is a real asset for our team to bring to Tenerife. Besides his enormous technical knowledge and skills, Rob also brings along great stories from the race.
Rob is taking an assistant who will help him maintain our bikes perfectly

For this trip, it is possible to register your own group so that we ensure the best possible accommodation. You can book both private and corporate for this package.
