This is the largest cycling region in Austria, so plenty to discover and experience! This is a road bike trip, for the enthusiast we can rent mountain bikes for a day (at an additional cost) and go out with a guide!

From September 6 to 10, the Fietsvrouwen Cycling Trip to Austria is planned. Together with Fietsvrouwen we will go to Sportchalet Viehhofen. During the trip you will discover Salzburgerland by bike. This is the largest cycling region in Austria, so plenty to discover and experience! This is a road bike trip, for the enthusiast we can rent mountain bikes for a day (at an additional cost) and go out with a guide!
It will be a while before it gets here, but it is important to get some mileage in. The Alps are different from the hills in southern Limburg. Want to start training your climbing and descending skills? Then join a clinic.

THE ENVIRONMENT Salzburgerland is known for its beautiful nature. From hills and lakes, green forests and snowy mountain peaks. Cycling is fantastic here, whether on a racing, mountain or gravel bike.

September 6: Arrival Day
Today you will arrive at Sportchalet Viehhofen. It's time to get your gear in place and get your legs loose after the trip. We start with a local lap of about 50 kilometers.
September 7: Pillsersee Runde A beautiful route of 100 km to the Pillersee. A beautiful lake where we can rest for a while and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. After the rest we get back on our bikes and cycle via Zell am See to Viehhofen. September 8 The Großglockner Hochalpenstraß is on the program! A challenging, intense climb of about 20 kilometers. Once you get to the top, this is really intense enjoyment, after all it is beautiful there. But it really is a challenge, fortunately that is trainable. Still find this too tough? Then there is an alternative route waiting for you.
September 9 After yesterday's intense day, we are taking it easy today. Time to get our legs loose and enjoy all the beauty Austria has to offer along the way.
September 10
Alas, it's over! Time to go home again. After breakfast, it's time to pack up the car and leave Austria.
It is possible to arrive earlier, for example on September 5 and to leave later. This in consultation with Sportchalet Viehhofen at more price.

Level 3: Average; You are a sporty person, don't shy away from a challenge, exercise at least 2 to 4 per week, you can also already make some altitude gains and ride at higher averages.
Level 4: Advanced; You are a trained athlete, you are looking for a challenge in sports, you are active at least 3 to 5 times a week, altitude meters and a higher average are not a problem

Level 2-2.5: Cycle Travel provides an overnight stay in a 2-star accommodation.

Level 5-5.5: A fully catered vacation with a complete support team consisting of tour guide, mechanic and masseur. There is provision for a support car including care en route during the rides. Accommodation will be in luxury chalets, hotels or boutique bed and breakfasts.
