Medical examination advice

A medical examination is advised prior to travel! Make an appointment at Ancora Health. They have a Health studio in both Eindhoven and Amsterdam. For this trip it is advisable to have a sports medical examination. Our advice is to go for at least "Basic Plus" but we always advise to go for an extensive sports medical examination (USMO). Ancora is affiliated with SMI Federation and SCAS certified. This means that you can get money back from most Dutch health insurers for the Ancora packages. An average reimbursement is easily € 150, -. On the site of Ancora you can calculate your own reimbursement.

In March 2024, the GRAN FONDO STRADE BIANCHE is back on the schedule of our travel program! This trip is part of the CycloWorld Travel Series hosted by Cycle Travel!
During a fully catered trip by Cycle Travel you will discover the GRAN FONDO STR ADE BIANCHE. With a starting ticket in start section 1 (top 300 and valid for the first 8 registrations of this trip) and start section 2 (300-1000 for the next registrations) you can be the first to start this granfondo. During the cycling you will be supported with a follow car, additional supply stations with 4Gold's sports drink. You will also receive professional guidance from our team.

If you book the trip including air travel, we will transport your luggage and bike with our own bus & car!*

Tuscany

The GRAN FONDO STRADE BIANCHE goes through the beautiful countryside of Tuscany. There are two distances:

Gran Fondo:
- Distance total: 111 km.
- Distance unpaved over the strade bianche: 54,7 km.
- Height meters total: 2050 hm.
- Height meters unpaved over the strade bianche: 1285 hm.

Medio Fondo:
- Distance total: 86.8 km.
- Distance unpaved over the strade bianche: 21,6 km.
- Height meters total: 1350 hm.
- Heightmeters unpaved over the strade bianche: 545

UNIQUE DAY IN THIS TRAVEL: Participation in Gran Fondo March 5, 2023

Program Thursday, February 29 to Monday, March 4, 2024

Day 1 - Thursday, Feb. 29
Arrival and introductory drive in afternoon.
Evening: dinner and briefing for the coming days.

Day 2 - Friday, March 1
Breakfast.
Tour of Tuscany, piece of trail and coffee in Siena.
Lunch along the way.
Technical check-up of your bike by our mechanic.
Evening: dinner and briefing for the 2 alternatives on Saturday, March 4.

Day 3 - Saturday, March 2
Breakfast.
Choice of lap riding and visiting the pros at Strade Bianche or your own route around the hotel.
Visit to the teams in Siena near start-finish.
Evening: at dinner inside info for the Gran Fondo Strade Bianche.

Day 4 - Sunday, March 3
Gran Fondo Strade Bianche.
With a personal companion on course included.
Entry ticket to start box 1 & 2 at the Strade Bianche is included!*
*=starting box 1 (top 300 and valid for the first 8 entries of this trip) and starting box 2 (300-1000 for subsequent entries)

Day 5 - Monday, March 4
Return trip.

A support car will be present during our bike rides. We will bring spare equipment, provide sports drinks, water and nutrition along the way. At fixed locations during the bike rides we will make a stop with care. Here you can leave your own water bottles or personal belongings (e.g. dry clothes). A permanent tour guide is present on these tours.

The sporting aspect is suitable for everyone who has an average or good condition. We take into account the differences between us, this is also normal in the mountains. The most important thing is that we will all experience a very nice cycling trip. The accommodation and facilities are top, the surroundings are great!
