In June there was a very special trip. The Tour de Cycle Trend 2021 went ahead despite the fact that the outlook was still very exciting with code orange for a long time. Fortunately, this year the necessary preparations were made to be able to offer everyone a safe and pleasant journey.
Extra special was the fact that Cycle Trend organized this for the 4th time and that we can look back on another very successful trip.
Also special was that former owner of Cycle Trend Ralf van Heugten hosted this trip for the new owner Davy Koppen. Davy will definitely be there next year, we already have a save the date: June 18-23, 2022!
Cycle Trend had provided a very generously filled goody-bag. A nice t-shirt from the Tour de Cycle Trend, a coffee mug from Wahoo, a test lubricant from Dynamic and well-filled water bottle from sports nutrition brand Maurten.
After everyone had neatly secured an anti-gen test including travel certificate in the Netherlands, we finally got to ride again in the beautiful French Alps. The area around Guillestre lends itself to beautiful iconic climbs such as Risoul, Col d'Izoard, Col de Bonnet, Col de Vars etc. etc. We conquered them all that week!
In the evenings, our cook Haro took care of the food, Eric and Jurre took care of the bikes and Mira provided much needed recovery massages. A great team for a great group of people. The weather was kind to us all week and the atmosphere was great. We are all looking forward to next year!
